Friday—Sunday July 11/12/13 2014 In the Beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains Near Asheville, North Carolina
We
live in challenging times. Global climate change, peak oil, species
extinction, degradation of our food supplies, increased mental and
emotional woe, stress and depression abound as we march past the
brink of catastrophe. Never have modern humans been forced to deal
with so much degradation at one time.
This
workshop provides an opportunity to learn the tools of Ecopsychology
and Gestalt Therapyin exploring grief and healing around the
dilemmas of living in an age of eco-catastrophe. Together we will
remember, reconnect and rejuvenate through the exploration of our
ecological selves. Reestablish the joy and connectedness you once had
as a small child marveling at the star filled evening sky, the crash
of ocean waves and the sway of towering trees. And bring that sense
of connection forward, into your everyday life as you navigate the
challenges of the current age. We will engage in discussion,
experiential activities and co-creative ritual throughout the event.
We will begin our time together at 7:00pm on Friday evening and conclude at 1:00pm on Sunday.
